Thank you!

Man oh man! We have amazing friends and family!  Thank you, thank you, thank you to each and everyone of you for your involvement in Monkeybutt whether you attended, brought your VW Buses & Vanagons (love to you Mary & Bill, Annie & Damon, Heather & Jerald, Joel & Anette, Mad Maxine & Alexander and Otmar!!!) and helped us build our little parking lot village, sent love and well-wishes from afar or big-heartedly contributed to our Honeyfund. It was crazy and it was incredible.

The potluck menu surpassed all expectations. The variety was vast and delicious. Thank you everyone for making Monkeybutt a feast to remember. And such generous alcoholic donations. Jaime Rodriguez, thanks for the yummy Hopworks Beer. Wow!!

Thank you Otmar for bringing us your Sun Bar. The backyard was a hydration (and dehydration) oasis.

And those cupcakes! Anne-Marie went above and beyond on those mouth watering creative morsels representing our husband/wife drivable cupcake art cars.

We were fortunate that the temperature did not reach the expected 100 degrees but it was hot and muggy. Thank you to Annie & Joel for your misting stations and Mary for walking around with her personal mister keeping the crew cool as we erected shelter from the sun.  My fast-thinking husband ordered paddle hand-fans in our wedding colors and they were a hit!  We even incorporated them into our dancing moves.  Oh yes! We danced!

We danced to our live band, Royal Bert, and they kicked ass! Mark, Brian, Robert & Jamie rocked so hard in the relentless heat. THANK YOU!!! As I looked out over the crowd all I saw were smiling faces.  And thank you for letting me play bass on Dead Flowers. What more could a bride ask for at her reception?!!!  😉 And thank you Mary (again) for the Monkeybutt playlists that set the tone for the entire event.

Thank you Heather & Jerald for the magnificent photo booth. I know you worked long and hard to get it made and I hope you know how much we appreciated your efforts. It was certainly a highlight of the whole Monkeybutt soirée.

Thank you to Zach, Sunshine and Max for bringing Sparkles the Bus!! OMG! The view of the moon, Venus and Jupiter from the deck was spectacular. The views from the neighbors were priceless. 😉

And thank you naked tandem bike riders who passed by Monkeybutt then came back to take a second look. What a treat for us!!

After cleaning up and putting everything away the day after (with help from our VW tribe), Will and I finally had a little bite to eat around 10pm on Sunday night. We have yet to open our gifts or look inside our card box. I am sure we will be floored once again by the generosity of our friends. I am humbled by the loving people in my life. I couldn’t ask for a more wonderful husband nor could I hope for more amazing friends and family.

Thank you all so very much for making Monkeybutt such a special day.
Will and I just love you to pieces.
